NewsChat is operated by Humans Innovation Ltd (“we”, “us”), Flat D, 25/F, Gee Chang Hong Centre, 65 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Hong Kong. Contact: info@humansinnovation.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the NewsChat mobile application. Other Humans Innovation apps and the marketing website have separate policies.

3. Data we may collect

• Account or identifier data if you sign in (email, auth provider identifiers)
• App preferences (topics, settings, reading preferences)
• Prompts, queries, and interaction content you submit to AI features
• Device and usage diagnostics (device type, OS, crash logs, performance)
• Support messages you send us

4. How we use data

• Provide curated news experiences and AI-assisted exploration of topics
• Personalise content where you enable preferences
• Operate, secure, and improve NewsChat
• Comply with law and prevent abuse

5. AI processing

When you use generative AI features, your prompts and relevant context may be sent to AI service providers that process data to generate responses. Do not submit sensitive personal data you do not want processed for that purpose.

AI outputs can be incorrect or incomplete; they are not professional advice.

6. Sharing

We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, authentication, and AI providers acting on our behalf, and when required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Retention

We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including security and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise where practicable.

8. Children

NewsChat is not directed at children under 13 (or higher age required in your region).

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion. Email info@humansinnovation.com with “NewsChat privacy” in the subject.
